We complete over 80 projects a year on homes and for non-profits.
Operation Outward Reach (OOR) is a 501 (c) 3 private non-prof
it organization.Headquartered in Youngwood, Pennsylvania, OOR has provided pre-release training and
education to inmates of the Pennsylvania state correctional system for 33 years
Inmates
learn marketable skills. They also have an opportunity to make restitution to society,practice compassion and empathy, and gain a sense of accomplishment and self worth.
Society
benefits by assisting the needy with a service they could not otherwise afford and anopportunity to get to know the inmates as people.
Since its inception in 1972, OOR has graduated more than 2,500 inmates and completed over
1,590 construction projects for non-profit groups, municipalities, and low-income, elderly and/or
disabled homeowners.
