“A Job Well Done ”

OOR Huntingdon is in the final phase of a project for the Penn Township supervisors that has given both the Carpentry and Masonry crews an opportunity to cooperate in a “from the ground up ” team effort..

OOR Carpentry CReW has moved inside for the final phase and expects to complete work by the end of December. Ground was broken for the 40 ’ x 90 ’ of fice/maintenance complex on April 1,2005.
The structure includes a 40 ’ x 40 ’ of fice space and a 40 ’ x 50 ’ area containing vehicle service bays. Material cost for the building is approximately $100,000,with a savings of another $75,000 by using the OOR program to complete the work, according to Regina Hileman, who has been coordinating the project.

OOR Huntingdon Site Manager Dave Kyler commented that the project gave trainees a chance to see many stages of construction. “This provided excellent training for both our crews,” said Kyler.. “Rotating the crews worked very well.”

“We think it ’s a great service that other local municipalities should utilize,” said Danny Crotsley, Chairman of Supervisors. Ms.Hileman added, “The OOR trainees and staff have been very professional. It has been a very good experience for the township. A job well done.”
